[color=blue] Durante una manifestazione politica, Oreste,
un muratore romano di quarantacinque anni, sposato con una donna molto più anziana di lui, conosce Adelaide, una
procace fioraia, della quale si innamora, pienamente ricambiato. Il loro amore fila in perfetta armonia, fino al giorno
in cui Adelaide non fa la conoscenza di Nello - un pizzalolo toscano - al cui fascino non riesce a resistere. Provando
per entrambi la stessa attrazione, la donna cerca di dividere equamente i propri favori, ma la situazione non garba ad
Oreste, il quale cade nella morsa di una gelosia morbosa. Allorchè Adelaide decide di sposare Nello, Oreste, con la
mente ormai sconvolta, uccide involontariamente la sua ex amante. Condannato a cinque anni, grazie all'attenuante della
seminfermità mentale, lo sventurato muratore, scontata la breve pena, ritorna in libertà ormai in preda a una
forma di delirante follia.

During a political demonstration, Orestes, a Roman mason of forty-five, married to
a woman much older than himself, knows Adelaide, a sexy flower girl, with whom he falls in love, fully reciprocated.
