TRAMA
La breve e "perversa" vita dell'artista Egon Schiele e della sua prima moglie alla vigilia della prima guerra mondiale, nella Vienna pre-freudiana. I disegni di Schiele, raffiguranti nudi di giovani ragazze, furono all'epoca considerati pornografici, inoltre fu imprigionato (e poi assolto) per aver sedotto una quattordicenne.
Vesely tratteggia la storia di un artista complesso, ma soprattutto degli eccessi di sesso, alcool ed emozioni che tormentarono la sua anima e distrussero tutto ciò che egli amava. Lo studio di un'ossessione e di una tortura mentale, con una inquietante colonna sonora scritta da Brian Eno.
PLOT
The brief and perverse life of artist Egon Schiele and his first wife in pre-World War I, pre-Freud Vienna. Schiele's drawings of nude young girls were deemed pornographic, and he was briefly imprisoned (and later acquitted) for seducing a minor. The story of an artist and his excesses of sex, drink and emotion, which tormented his soul and destroyed everything he loved. An examination of obsession and mental torture, with a haunting soundtrack provided by Brian Eno.
