Theatre revival of John 
Webster's Jacobean tragedy, directed by Dominic Dromgoole and with a cast led by
Gemma Arterton.
 The Duchess of Malfi (originally published as The Tragedy of the Dutchesse of Malfy) is a macabre,
tragic play written by the English dramatist John Webster in 1612–13.[1] 
It was first performed privately
at the Blackfriars Theatre, then later to a larger audience at The Globe, in 1613–14. More detail can be found at
the wiki.

My notes

 This is the first time a presentation from the Sam Wanamaker Theatre which is
on the grounds of the Globe Theatre in London has been on television or screen-capped by a viewer. I thank the original
uploader from several years ago for it. Here I have 
added an interval and made the size much smaller for easy
access.

 The credits for cast and production are incomplete. The whole play is here but terminates abruptly
at the end. It terminates before the credit roll gives complete notes on the production. The production has since been
transferred for sale as a dvd. But currently it is not 
available in the US. I have watched it multiple times. The
stage is lit with beeswax candles without stage lighting instruments.

 As the Globe productions continued,
many of the characters are played by now-recognizable actors such as James Garnon, Sarah MacRae, Paul Rider and others.
This adds to the enjoyment as they now have a bit of fan base as well. Encourage the Globe or BBC to get this in a boxed
NTSC DVD format. The Wanamaker Theatre is unique as a playhouse, even though Blackfriars (in Staunton, Virginia, USA)

uses the Jacobean style playhouse.

 For now, enjoy the play, perhaps many times over as I have.
