Here are two essays (which should be read together) which cannot be recommend highly enough. These essays concern -
among a number of other things - the painter Matthias Gruenewald (c. 1475/80-1528), the subject of Mathis der
Maler – the opera as well the symphony based on the opera Hindemith composed in 1932-1934. At any rate, the
essays are uncommonly fine and rewarding.

Since I didn't have anything else to include with
these new transfers, I've decided to include 70 of my own paintings - a selection from a series of 600. The
included selection is mostly from 2002-2003 with a couple from 2004. A total of 70 was included because a larger number
is necessary - otherwise, the whole point of a series is lost. For those unfamiliar with Chinese brushes ... OK, I can
only say that the painting can only be done with the paper flat on the floor. In other words, the Chinese had this
method thousands of years before Jackson Pollock made a name for himself with his drip paintings done flat on a floor
surface (and without Chinese brushes).
