True and complete discography?



True and complete to begin with are very non-objective words.

What is a true and complete discography of, let’s say, Van Morrison or Neil Young or Elvis Costello or Bob Dylan
or best of all of Ani Di Franco: all very productive creators of music?

Should one include every single bootleg recorded or accept only the AV (Authorized Version)?

It’s pretty endless in fact and never to be answered totally.  One could have every song a songwriter ever wrote
but if he/she is missing one compilation or one bootleg or one set list that list is NOT complete or true.

Anyway here is some peer community work gathered over hours and hours of gleaning and reorganizing.  What is a
compilation anyway but the assembly of old recordings from a record company to bleed more money from the artist?

So here it is, 992 files, 90 folders and 6.92 GB.

References as what is considered a regular album were taken from Wikipedia and

I also divided the albums in 4 periods, Asylum, CBS, Island, and ANTI and added as many CD covers as I could find.

Also when available I doubled certain albums as .flac or .ape and posted them as is.

The fuss about Japan version (another encroaching dilemma on what makes a complete discography not counting singles) has
been “corrected” in One from the Heart and Mule Variations and have been answered in my own way.

Some files were downloaded as .flac and converted and some were just copied from where they came from to begin with. 


So here it is just a little more work to share with the peer community which in general has been very good to me.
