In addition, the personal issues in the series are interesting also from the scientific point of view. Sadly, missed the first episodes of season two, as the series airs on a minor channel here, luckily a DVD-set should become available.

Tutto ciò significa progresso o follia? Tutte queste innovazioni ci condurranno alla salvezza e alla rinascita? O siamo ormai avviati alla distruzione totale della nostra specie e del nostro pianeta? La scienza si muove così velocemente che la risposta potrebbe arrivare troppo tardi.
La biotecnologia rappresenta la moderna corsa all'oro dove tutti sono coinvolti: governi, ospedali, università , multinazionali della droga.
Per tutte queste ragioni, Canada, Messico e Stati Uniti hanno creato una taskforce trilaterale per investigare sui discutibili progressi della biotecnologia, della nanotecnologia e sulla fabbricazione di armi sempre più sofisticate. Questa organizzazione chiamata NorBAC (North American Biotechnology Advisory Commission) con sede a Toronto, sotto la leadership carismatica dello scienziato David Sandstrom e del suo direttore esecutivo Caroline Morrison, lotta ogni giorno per capire come possa essere l'impossibile.
ReGenesis è composta da svariate storie che si susseguono simultaneamente e che possono proseguire anche per due o tre episodi o ritornare nel corso della stagione. La realtà viene vista sotto prospettive diverse: si ritorna sulla scena precedente ma questa volta si segue un diverso personaggio attraverso lo stesso percorso temporale.
Girata con un linguaggio dinamico e cinematografico ReGenesis riesce a catturare il caos all'interno di un laboratorio biotecnologico mai freddo o sterile e neanche fantascientifico. È solo la realtà , un luogo dove uomini e donne lavorano fianco a fianco per contrastare tutte quelle problematiche legate ad una scienza, quella del XXI secolo, sempre in evoluzione e spesso discutibile.
