Seguito –
rifacimento in chiave più fantascientifica del primo Tetsuo.
I protagonisti sono gli stessi, l’impiegato
Tomo e il fantomatico X, ma questa volta la narrazione è arricchita da altri personaggi e da alcuni colpi di scena.
Si inizia con lo scoprire che X ha creato una specie di esercito di uomini che sperimentano sulla loro carne la
mutazione in macchina distruttiva; poi vediamo Tomo felicemente sposato con prole. Il passo naturalmente successivo
sarà il rapimento del bambino e la conseguente furia del padre che si ritrasformerà in uomo arma. L’errore
è credere che Tomo si trasformi grazie al siero iniettatogli da due agenti mentre è una cosa che in lui, come in
X, avviene naturalmente…essendo fratelli.



Sequel-remake of the first Tetsuo in a more sci-fi way.
The protagonists
are the same, the salaryman Tomo and the misterious X,but this time narration is enriched with other charachters and
some turns of events. We begin discovering that X created some sort of army,constituted by men experimenting on their
flesh the mutation into a disrupting machine;then we see Tomo happily married and being father.The next step is the
kidnapping of his child and the consequent fury of his father who will transform himself into a weapon-man.Initially X's
agents thought that he transformed because fo the serum they injected to him,but actually he transforms naturally as X
does ,being his brother.





Con chiari rimandi a Cronenberg (Tomo che supplica la moglie di ucciderlo con il
siero della ruggine è come il dottor Seth Brundle in La mosca che si appoggia la canna del fucile alla testa pregando
la compagna di distruggere il mostro che è diventato) e Kubrick, oltre che a sé stesso (il feto finale creato
dall’assorbimento delle menti dei boxeur è la forma tangibile del new world del primo Tetsuo) il film si
chiude con il gigantesco carro armato che ha inglobato tutti gli uomini della fonderia, muoversi per le strade di Tokyo
con la moglie al suo fianco in una specie di "famiglia Tetsuo allargata". Decisamente inferiore rispetto
all’originale, ha il pregio di creare un plot narrativo di più facile accesso. (Fulvio Faggiani)

With clear referrings to Cronenberg (Tomo begs his wife to kill him with the
"rust serum",like doctor Seth Brundle in "The Fly" begged his girlfriend to pull the trigger of the shotgun),Kubrik, and
himself (the final fetus is the tangible form of the "new world" in first Tetsuo),the movies ends with the giant
tank,created by a merge with the men in the foundry,roaming on Tokyo streets in a sort of "large Tetsuo family".Clearly
inferior to the original Tetsuo,this movie has the merit of a more accessible plot narration.
