Trama:
Il reporter televisivo Simon Hunt (Richard Gere) e l'operatore Duck (Terrence Howard) hanno lavorato insieme nelle zone di guerra più calde del mondo. Insieme hanno scansato pallottole, trasmesso articoli importanti e vinto premi Emmy. Ma un giorno terribile, in un villaggio bosniaco, tutto cambia. Durante una trasmissione in diretta su un canale nazionale, Simon ha un crollo. Da quel momento in poi, Duck continua a fare carriera mentre Simon scompare. Dopo cinque anni, Duck torna a Sarajevo per seguire il quinto anniversario della fine della guerra, ad accompagnarlo c'é Benjamin (Jesse Eisenberg), producer alle prime armi; quando Simon gli riappare davanti, come un fantasma del passato, convince Duck di essere a conoscenza del nascondiglio della "Volpe" il criminale di guerra più ricercato di Bosnia.
