::->Note e Other informations<-::

Bella the story of the original Orson Welles (the backing vocals, almost imperceptible, and David Paton); shame that listeners Italians seem almost a lesson in English. Orson Welles, among others, has never met Alan Parsons: after receiving the script for the narrated, has just sent a tape, the story was added in 1987. The low is played by Joe Puerta (he played with "Ambrosia" and Bruce Hornsby), the battery Stuart Tosh (who also played for "Pilot", "10cc", and in 1983 with the "Camel" during the their tour), Billy Lyall (who played for the "Pilot") on keyboards, along with Eric Woolfson, the electric guitar and one acoustic Ian Bairnson, accompanied by David Paton (who was also former "Pilot", he played -- among others - with Elton John, Kate Bush, Camel, Chris DeBurgh, Fish [former lead singer of Marillion], participated in "Keats," he made a solo album, "Same "...). Now "A Dream within a Dream" was recorded in Abbey Road studios in 1975.

2nd The Raven (3:57840), lead vocals Alan Parsons [EMI vocoder], Leonard Whiting (was just seventeen when he made the part of Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet" by Franco Zeffirelli, 1968. In Italy It was dubbed by Giancarlo Giannini), backing vocals Eric Woolfson.
The original idea of Eric Woolfson was to make an album "electronic", but Alan Parsons argued that, as a disc based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, it was necessary to cite some of his poems and stories, rather ironically, "The Raven "(the first track recorded) It was absolutely the first piece rock using a digital vocoder - and AP It was absolutely the first to use it - designed by the research laboratories of EM. Bass: Joe Puerta. Battery: Burleigh Drummond (played with "Ambrosia"), additional drums: Stuart Tosh. Guitars: David Pack (played with "Ambrosia," with Al Stewart, with Chris Rea, took part in "In the city of angels" by Jon Anderson, and has also developed a single, "Anywhere you go", and his solo work is included in the soundtrack of "White nights." Do not confuse him with David Paick, which is the keyboard instead of "Toto"). There's a guitar solo that makes one shiver, again compared to the original version: Ian Bairnson. Keyboards: Christopher North (keyboards and vocals in the "Ambrosia") and Eric Woolfson. Chorus: The English Chorale, directed by Bob Howes. Orchestra arranged and conducted by Andrew Powell. Recorded in studies Mama Jo's Studio (Tom Trefethen It was assistant engineer), North Hollywood, and Abbey Road in 1975. Has reached 80 ™ position in Billboard in 1976, and 45 laps (20th Century TC-2308) was the B side as the prelude to "The fall of the House of Usher", there is another version with "The raven "on both sides (one stereo, the other one), both marked with the word side A. "Quoth the raven, nevermore ...

3rd The Tell-tale Heart (4:38733), Arthur Brown lead vocals, additional vocals Jack Harris.
Arthur Brown is the "madman" who sings, and his band, "The Crazy World of Arthur Brown" gave us "Fire" (anyone remember "I am the god of hellfire!"?) And has even played with Carl Palmer ( Yes, to Emerson, Lake and Palmer), and also with Jimmy Carl Black. This song is played down by David Paton, Stuart Tosh plays batteries, d ‡ a blow to the timpani, strike the cymbals; Bairnson You Ian on guitar, and adds some new solo than the version of 1976 (but personally I prefer "The Tell-tale Heart "in the original), Worthy of note is the" Projectron "designed by Keith Jonson, is the first unit of a number of keyboards that use a technology of control voltage and a sampled" analog ", capable of emit sounds similar to a "Fairlight", which sarYears produced many years later. There is also a new use of synthesizers from AP; Billy Lyall on keyboards and Eric Woolfson, the choir (The English Chorale) is directed by Bob Howes, Andrew Powell took care of the arrangements and conducted the orchestra. Even this song - originally - was recorded in Abbey Road studios in 1975 and has been included in the compilation ULTRADISC II Sampler (Mobile Fidelity) in June / July 1996.

4th The Cask of Amontillado (4:33493), lead vocals John Miles (played with Jimmy Page, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, and has even done something as soloist), additional vocals Terry Sylvester (replaced Graham Nash in the "Hollies" , and has sung with Allan Clarke), backing vocals Eric Woolfson.
Bass: David Paton. Battery: Stuart Tosh. Guitars: Ian Bairnson. Piano: Billy Lyall. Harpsichord: Eric Woolfson. Synthesisers (absent in the original): Alan Parsons. Chorus: Bob Howes and The English Chorale. Orchestra arranged and conducted by Andrew Powell. Recorded at Abbey Road in September'75.

5th (The System of) Doctor Tarr and Professor fether (4:20867), lead vocals John Miles, additional vocals Jack Harris.
The noise of the crowd who feel at the beginning and here in el ‡ song are taken from the "library" of sound effects of Abbey Road. John Miles, who is the lead vocal, plays the guitar with Ian Bairnson, while the bottom is played by David Paton. At the inevitable battery Stuart Tosh, upstairs Billy Lyall, Eric Woolfson keyboards. There is a new, majestic Cathedral Organ "over the original version, and is played by Alan Parsons. Dr. Tarr & Prof. fether It was recorded at Abbey Road in September 1975 and 11 September 1996 entered the Billboard charts, reaching, as a single (45 laps, 20th Century TC-2297, had as its B-side "A dream within a dream "), the 37 ™ position, and remaining for two weeks in the Top 40.

6th The Fall of the House of Usher - Prelude (7:02507), instrumental.
Almost all of this second part is a revised and corrected version of "La Chute De La Maison Usher," by Claude Debussy. "The Project" by Debussy, which obviously inspired the collapse of the House Usher, was never completed (but the work of Debussy to 90% is part of the entire suite).
Orson Welles takes over the narration. The orchestra (leaders: David Katz and Jack Rothstein) is masterfully arranged and conducted by Andrew Powell. Les Hurdle plays the bass. This song was recorded at Kingsway Hall in London October 10 1975 (engineering consultant: Gordon Parry. It has won awards as a sound engineer in classical music, and his masterpiece was the recording of the 'ring' of Wagner for the London Records, he also worked for the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden).

7th The Fall of the House of Usher - Arrival (2:39626), instrumental.
The storm and the thunder that you hear at the beginning have not been produced artificially in the studio, but have been recorded live during a violent rain outside dell'Abbey Road Studio Two, using a "Dummy" binaural. David Paton on bass, Stuart Tosh drums and percussion, Ian Bairnson guitars, loop on keyboards and Eric Woolfson Andrew Powell, Francis Monkman (one of the founders of "Curved Air", has also been part of "Sky", has worked with Kate Bush and Camel) and even to the Eric Woolfson, Alan Parsons' Projectron "and synthesizers. 'Was recorded at Abbey Road between August and November 1975.

8th The Fall of the House of Usher - Intermezzo (1:00400), instrumental.
The orchestra is arranged and conducted by Andrew Powell. This song was recorded at Kingsway Hall in London on 10 October 1975.

9th The Fall of the House of Usher - Pavane (4:36174), instrumental.
Compared to the original version you see the new synthesizers (Eric Woolfson). For the rest, the bass strings are Darryl Runswick, Stuart Tosh plays drums, acoustic guitars are played by Laurence Juber (generation of "Wings") and Kevin Peek (along with Francis Monkman and guitarist John Williams was part of "Sky"). David Snell all'arpa, Francis Monkman all'harpsichord, John Leach plays cimbalom and kantele, Andrew Powell and finally to the mandolin is played by Hugo D'Alton. As in "Arrival", was recorded at Abbey Road between August and November 1975.

10th The Fall of the House of Usher - Fall (0:51293), instrumental.
The orchestra is arranged and conducted by Andrew Powell, synthesizers and "Projectron" are instead of Alan Parsons. Also this song was recorded at Kingsway Hall in London on 10 October 1975.

11th To One in Paradise (4:46588), Terry Sylvester lead vocals, additional vocals Eric Woolfson, Alan Parsons, Jane Powell backing vocals (the former wife of Andrew Powell).
The last words of the song are declaimed by Leonard Whiting, words that do not appear among the lyrics of the original version. Little to add: David Paton on bass, Stuart Tosh on drums, Ian Bairnson electric and acoustic guitars, acoustic guitars David Paton, Fender Rhodes and Billy Lyall glockenspiel. The School Choir and the Boys Choir of Westminster. The song concludes Tales of Mystery and Imagination is registered all'Abbey Road in August 1975. He reached the 107 ™ position in 1977 (Billboard), and in part B of 45 laps there was "The cask of Amontillado."
