The 'Vintage
Goons' series was specially recorded by the BBC Transcription Services. All episodes were
based on scripts from series 4 (with some reworking) and were recorded on the same day as
series 8 shows. Six episodes were then broadcast on the BBC Home Service immediately prior to series 9.

Thirteen remastered episodes of the legendary series - plus bonus material Immensely popular and hugely influential,
the groundbreaking series The Goon Show changed the face of British comedy. Now, for the first time, this box set
collection presents the available episodes in chronological order as they were scheduled to be broadcast.
